Crowns & Fixed Bridges
If your tooth becomes structurally compromised by decay, disease, or damage such as a chip or crack, Dr. Powell may recommend a dental crown to restore strength and look aesthetically pleasing.
To replace one or more missing teeth in a row, Dr. Powell may suggest natural-looking crowns and bridge work. With a bridge, you won't have to hide your smile in public. Eating and speaking will become easier, too. More importantly, surrounding teeth won't shift out of place causing misalignment of your bite. A bridge consists of one or more prosthetic teeth in a row, anchored to a crown on either side of the gap. These crowned teeth hold the bridge in place permanently, so you'll enjoy a secure prosthetic. Hidden clasps and beautiful ceramic teeth make modern bridge work practically indistinguishable from natural teeth.
