Our team uses digital X-rays in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, as a tool to help improve your experience as you seek quality dental treatment.
Digital X-rays are one of the advanced diagnostic tools we use to provide you with the best possible care. Digital radiography has changed the way we take dental X-rays by making the process faster, more comfortable, and more convenient than ever before. Digital X-rays use a digital sensor to take images of your teeth, unlike traditional X-rays that use film. Digital X-rays use significantly less radiation than conventional film X-rays and require the use of no chemicals for developing the images. Our dentists can then instantly view the high-quality images on monitors right in the treatment room to provide you with efficient, accurate diagnoses and care. Our team is able to use digital radiography to identify and diagnose several types of dental problems, such as:
Digital dental X-rays are used to plan many kinds of dental treatment, such as oral surgery procedures, root canal treatment, dental implants, orthodontics, and more. To learn more about digital radiography and how we use X-rays at our office, we welcome you to call or visit us soon.
Are you struggling with tension in your face, neck, or mouth? You may be suffering from oral health issues like TMJ disorder or burning mouth syndrome.
Orofacial pain deals with tension or dysfunction that can occur in your head, face, and mouth. This tension can be associated with several different health issues depending on your situation. If orofacial pain is hindering you from many of your daily activities, like eating and talking, your pain may be related to TMJ syndrome.
Other conditions associated with orofacial pain may include sleep disorders, trauma, migraines, or burning mouth syndrome. As you meet with our dentists, we can help you determine the cause of your orofacial pain through a thorough examination. Depending on the cause, we can help you find the proper treatment path suited to your situation.
BOTOX involves no incisions, stitches, or surgery, so you can resume your daily routine directly following your appointment. This also means that your treatment will be comfortable and fast. Our team will simply inject the medication into the muscles. We may use ice or a topical numbing cream before the treatment to ensure that you feel completely comfortable. You may begin noticing improvements as soon as 24 to 48 hours after the treatment, and your BOTOX results can last up to four months.

Our experienced dentists can provide dental crowns and bridges to restore your smile to full health and beauty. With a crown or a bridge, you can once again smile, speak and eat with full confidence. To schedule your consultation with Dr. Larry Powell and Dr. Robert Hodous and learn more about dental crowns and bridges in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, contact Village Dental Group today at 501-922-1045.
Dental crowns and bridges are two of the most common treatments for replacing and restoring missing or damaged teeth. During your initial consultation at our office, our dentists will carefully examine your mouth to determine if these treatments are good options for you.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns, or caps, are a treatment designed to restore the strength, functionality, and appearance of teeth that have been broken or damaged by decay, disease, or injury. Crowns are custom made to fit your smile and are bonded over your original tooth to cover it and prevent further damage. If you are replacing a missing tooth, your crown may be placed atop a dental implant. Your dental crown is intended to be a long-lasting solution for your oral health and smile.
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are replacements for missing teeth. When you lose a tooth, your remaining teeth can shift out of position, causing you to develop a bad bite and making it more difficult for you to chew and speak normally. A dental bridge will literally “bridge” the gap in your smile to keep your teeth in the correct position, maintain a healthy bite and give you back a beautiful smile. Dental bridges are typically anchored in place by crowns attached to the teeth on either side of the prosthetic tooth but may also be supported by a dental implant.
Dental implants are the ideal replacement for your missing teeth! Our experienced dentists and team offer implants to give you back a beautiful smile and improve your oral health and function. Call Village Dental Group today at 501-922-1045 for more information about dental implants in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and to schedule a consultation with Dr. Larry Powell and Dr. Robert Hodous.
Dental implants are lasting, stable tooth replacements that can be used to replace one missing tooth, several missing teeth, or complete arches of teeth. The dental implant post, which is a screw made of titanium, is surgically placed in the jawbone at the site of the missing tooth. It replaces the missing tooth root and ensures that your dental restoration is stable. A period of healing is then often required to allow the bone to begin to bond with the biocompatible post.
Following this healing period, our dentists will place the dental implant restoration, or replacement tooth, which fits on top of the implant post. Depending on which teeth are missing and your personal dental needs, your implant restoration might be a dental crown, dental bridge, or a complete or partial denture. Each dental implant restoration is custom made to fit your smile comfortably and aesthetically.
Replacing a missing tooth can restore your smile to optimal health, function, and appearance. A dental implant is a great option for restoring your smile because the implant is designed to look, function, and feel just like your natural teeth, and with proper care, it can last a lifetime. For more information about the benefits of implant dentistry and to schedule your implant consultation, please call or visit us soon.
If you are embarrassed to smile due to flaws in your teeth, our skilled dentists may recommend porcelain dental veneers to enhance your smile. To schedule a consultation with Dr. Larry Powell or Dr. Robert Hodous and find out if porcelain dental veneers in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, are right for you, call Village Dental Group today at 501-922-1045.
Dental veneers are very thin shells, typically made of porcelain or resin, that are bonded to the front of your teeth to enhance the beauty of your smile. Our dentists may recommend dental veneers to correct several types of smile imperfections. Porcelain veneers are an excellent choice for enhancing your smile because the color and translucence of porcelain is a great match for the natural appearance of tooth enamel. Porcelain is stain resistant as well, so your smile will stay bright for years to come. Resin veneers can also be matched to your natural tooth color. With dental veneers, you can achieve a beautiful, natural-looking smile that you will love to show off.
Our dentists may recommend dental veneers if you would like to improve the appearance of your smile. Custom-made veneers can be used for just one tooth or for your entire smile. We may suggest veneers to:

Dr. Larry Powell and Dr. Robert Hodous provide complete and partial dentures to replace your missing.
Dentures are removable oral appliances used to replace multiple missing teeth. If you are missing some or all of your teeth, dentures might be just what you need to restore the function, beauty and health of your smile. There are two kinds of dentures: complete dentures and partial dentures.
A complete denture is used to replace all of the teeth in a full dental arch. We may suggest a complete denture to replace all of the teeth in one or both arches depending on your individual needs. Our dentists may suggest using a denture adhesive for improved stability.
A partial denture is used if you are missing multiple teeth but have natural teeth remaining. A partial denture often includes a thin framework or clasps that attach to the natural teeth for a secure fit.
Our dentists may recommend complete or partial dentures to restore your smile if you are missing multiple teeth; dentures can improve your ability to properly speak and eat, restore your natural facial volume, and enhance the overall beauty of your smile. Dr. Larry Powell and Dr. Robert Hodous provide root canal therapy in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, to help you regain a healthy smile. This endodontic treatment removes infected and damaged tooth tissue so that you can prevent the need for an extraction and continue using your original tooth. Call Village Dental Group at 501-922-1045 to schedule a consultation with our dentists and learn more about root canal therapy.
Commonly called a root canal, root canal treatment is a type of endodontic therapy that is often recommended if the tooth pulp and nerves become infected or damaged. This may occur if injury or decay reaches deep into the tooth, past the outer enamel layer. When left untreated, this type of infection and disease may cause the tooth to die and necessitate tooth extraction. To restore the health of the tooth and avoid the need for extraction, our skilled dentists will remove the infected and injured tissues from within the tooth, clean the tooth, and fill it with a medicated material. We will then cap the tooth with a restoration, such as a dental crown, to return the tooth to its original shape and structure. In most cases, a root canal can be completed in only one or two comfortable visits to our office.
Root canal treatment has a reputation for being a painful treatment. In reality, however, root canal treatment can often be completed with minimal discomfort thanks to advanced techniques, tools and anesthesia. Our dentists and entire team work hard to provide you with a pleasant and comfortable experience each time you visit our office. To learn more about root canal treatment, we welcome you to contact us today. We are committed to restoring your smile’s health.
If you or a loved one snore while asleep, our dentists can provide you with treatments to prevent snoring and help you get the rest you need. We are committed to helping you sleep well at night and enjoy a healthier quality of life. Call Village Dental Group today at 501-922-1045 to make your appointment with Dr. Larry Powell and Dr. Robert Hodous and learn more about snoring treatment in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Our caring dentists and team understand that many patients (and their partners) find snoring to be a common nighttime annoyance. Snoring is typically caused by obstructions in the airway, such as collapsing tissues in the throat, large tonsils or the tongue rolling back in the throat. As airway muscles relax during sleep, these tissues can narrow the upper airway and result in snoring.
To ensure that you and your loved ones can sleep peacefully through the night, our dentists may recommend a snoring treatment. Our most common snoring treatment is oral appliance therapy. For this treatment, we will provide you with a custom-made oral appliance, which you wear only while you sleep. The snoring appliance works by ensuring that your airway stays open and free of obstructions while you sleep. This may be accomplished by preventing the tongue from rolling back or holding your jaw in a position that prevents the airway tissues from collapsing. We will make certain that your custom snoring appliance fits effectively and comfortably to minimize snoring and allow you to sleep peacefully.
If you snore frequently, we encourage you to contact our office today to learn more about snoring treatment and schedule your next visit with our dentists. We are eager to care for you!
